THE TOWN GATE
This gate was built after completion of the Josephine road in 1779. On the left doorpost there is a table with the distances in German miles from Senj to Karlovac, Zagreb and Vienna. Near the top is the imperial crown with engraved words Josephinae finis. On the Large Gate Zora and her friends defended their friend Stjepan who was attacked by a group of gymnasium students.
