GENDARMERIE
When Branko ended up in prison because of the “stolen” fish, Zora helped him escape through the prison window and introduced him to her gang of orphaned children. The Gendarmerie building is located in Uskok Street that preserved its typical medieval folk architecture. In the immediate vicinity is the belfry of the St. Francis Church, the only remnant of the former church in which many renowned uskoks were buried, and which was pulled down in World War Two.
